The Agolde Riley jean is the brands signature straight leg which has become super popular in recent months. It has a flattering high-rise and straight leg that holds close to the body. These jeans have no stretch so I definitely recommend sizing up if you prefer a roomier fit.

I havent tried the Agolde 90s Fit jeans that are super popular as theyre not my style and sadly the other popular Pinch Waist jeans werent a fit for me either when I tried them due to my height. But as denim is super personal to ones body & ones style, you may want to also try those!

If you follow me on , youve probably been hearing me gush about my new denim I purchased recently. In this post, Im sharing my review of the Agolde 90s Pinch Waist Denim for petites!
I have been lusting after a pair of Agolde Jeans for years, but the high price point always turned me off. At $198, they arent cheap. I love Madewell and Everlane denim, and I could always find a great pair of those for much cheaper. However, as a self-proclaimed denim aficionado and someone who wears denim almost everyday, I wanted to try a pair of Agolde denim to see if they were, in fact, worth the price.
In this review, Im discussing fit, sizing, the material, and my overall impressions of the Agolde 90s Pinch Waist denim.

Agolde 90s Mid Rise Loose Fit Jeans Vs Agolde 90s Pinch Waist High Rise Straight Jeans
So, how do the 90s Loose Jeans compare to the 90s Pinch Waist Jeans?
The most obvious visual difference to me is the length. The 90s loose jeans hit more at the ankle or slightly above, while the 90s Pinch Waist jeans are 1/2 inch longer, appearing more full-length on me .
I think the sizing is the biggest difference. My true size is 28/29. For the same fitted look, I wear a size 27 in the 90s Loose Jeans and a size 28 or 29 in the 90s Pinch Waist Jeans. In the wash lineup, which you see in this post I have a size 29. However, I tried the same style on in the black tea wash and the size 28 fit me. I highly recommend reading reviews about whatever specific wash youre looking to purchase because they can run slightly different.
The 90s Pinch Waist jeans are also a bit slimmer at the ankle. While the differences may look subtle, they do look and feel different to me in the waist and hips.
I really like them both and would absolutely buy more washes in both styles, but if I had to pick just one the 90s Loose Fit Jeans sized down for a tight fit is my favorite style on my body shape.

What Is A Pinch Waist Jean
First of all, what does pinch waist mean? As you might imagine, its a silhouette that is super fitted and almost cinched in at the waist and fitted through the hips. Agolde originally debuted this type of waist in their style called Pinch Waist High Rise Kick Jeans. They then released the 90s Pinch Waist Jeans, and lastly the Pinch Waist Skinny Jeans. So the leg silhouette differs but the waist and hips are cut similarly.

How Do Agolde 90s Pinch Waist Jeans Fit
After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to get my true size in the wash lineup. Im kind of in-between sizes right now and my preference is that my jeans are fitted rather than relaxed. Their website says that they are true to size but made to fit close to the waist, so they recommend sizing up if youre in between sizes. Like I said, I did not size up but I think your body shape and fit preference could help you determine if true to size of sizing up works for you. All of my other Agolde Jeans are pretty clean, so I opted for this wash because its a nice medium wash with some rips and distressing.
Like almost every style of Agolde jeans, this style has a button fly closure. The rise is high at 12.75 inches. The leg is a straight cut with a full length inseam of 29.5 inches. For reference, I am 57 and they are perfectly full length on me. They are made from rigid yet soft, one hundred percent organic cotton. If you want them to be fitted, I recommend buying them to fit pretty snug. The right fit for me means they are tough to button up initially. Then, as you wear them, they relax and form to your body, stretching to the perfect fit.
Agolde 90s Pinch Waist jeans are currently offered in eleven different washes on Agoldes website. From white, to light, medium, and darker shades of indigo, to washed black styles. Some are clean washes, which others have distressing on the knees.

Today Im excited to be sharing a review of Agolde 90s Pinch Waist High Rise Straight Jeans. Earlier this year, I purchased and reviewed the Agolde 90s Loose Fit Jeans. They immediately became my most worn style of jeans I cant even count how many times Ive already worn them this year. Because of that, I decided to get the 90s Pinch Waist jeans to try and share with all of you what I think about them!

Fit
When shopping for my first pair of Agolde jeans, I gravitated towards the 90s Pinch Waist style because of their super high rise As someone who is petite and also has proportionally short legs compared to my torso, Im always looking for bottoms with a high rise that will make my legs appear longer.
Their website mentions that they are vintage-inspired They have a close-fitting high rise with a true straight leg.
The wash I have is called Backdrop which has a significant amount of distressing on both knees. They also sell washes without distressing or with minimal distressing if thats the style you prefer. I LOVE pairing distressed straight denim with feminine tops for a cool contrasting look.
This denim is full length meaning they are longer and are meant to fall over your shoes. Im a classic girl and prefer my jeans to have more of a cropped look so I cut off a significant amount at the bottom which created the raw hem look you see here. If youre petite, you will definitely have to cut the hem or have them hemmed at the tailor even if you want to keep them full length.
Someday I will share a quick tutorial on how I cut my jeans, but heres my basic process. Try the jeans on and cuff them to where youd like them to hit. I prefer a cropped look so I take them to about an inch to two inches above my ankle. Take them off, iron the folded seam to create a line, unfold, and cut with very sharp scissors.

Agolde Parker Long Loose Denim Short
The best denim shortsever. They have the perfect vintage, lived-in look but are tailored so they feel like they were made for you. I have the long version which I prefer to the shorter pair which I tried first and didnt love on my legs. These are a classic cuff off short. They feature a roomier fit for a comfy feel and an elongated inseam.
I wear a size 28 in these so very true to size. I have the light wash on my list for next summer.
