I just did Denim Week on my Instagram series, Putting It On Is Pulling It Off, because I rarely wear jeans, Brown mentions. Not because I dont love them, but I rarely love them on me! So, I wanted to make an effort to style some of the jeans I have. The issue with denim for plus sizes is that you can come across a pair you like at one of the few retailers but they arent a company staple, meaning youll never see them again. The denim focus brands that do carry plus usually relegate plus size people into the skinny jean, which arent really my style. Loads of jeans I love come from Asos, but they arent permanent fixtures on the site.

For reference I am 5 7 but have shorter legs and a long torso. In general Im a size 28/29 or 8/9 depending where Im shopping. At American Eagle Im always a 6 if its stretchy 8 if its not. I originally found these in store I purchased the black in a size 6 regular as they didnt have short and I loved how flattering they were, I wanted another black pair and ordered them online in a 6 short.

they came and I couldnt get them on as they were significantly smaller than the 6 regular I bought in store so I went In Store to exchange.

I tried different washes and long story short in every color except black I needed a 4 short where as in black even 6 short was too small. So I think the black is the only wash that runs smaller than the others and thats the reason for the mixed reviews.

These are my favorite jeans they are super stretchy and very slimming. But if they are advertising them as the same Jean all washes should fit the same! The three lighter washes I own in 4 short and my black pair is a 6 regular and tight.

So if you want black Id say true to size or size up 1, in every other color I sized down one. Hopefully this helps!.

Just thinking out loud here, lol. 10/10 recommend the jeans though,.

Some absolutely stellar reviews for these Alloy bootcuts: they average 4.9 stars out of over 30 reviews. I love the fraying on the hems at the bottom which adds to the character. One thing to note is that Alloy arent a specific plus size brand, but they are a brand that focuses on tall women. Therefore their jeans arent long in the butt/tummy area so if you carry more weight there they may not be the best fit.

Sure, women over six feet might scoff at a 30-inch inseam, but because some tall women might have a long torso rather than long legs and vice versa, I wanted to give as many options as possible especially since most tall women are probably still looking for a 30-to-34-inch inseam instead of the extra-tall lengths.

Style: Even though there are lots of different styles out there skinny, baggy, straight leg, wide leg, flare, cropped, and curvy you probably have a good idea already of what kind of jeans you want. And just to note: I dont subscribe to the teenager philosophy that skinny jeans are over, because they go with nearly everything and fit most body types.
