Levis Ribcage Jeans Rise: The most important characteristic of Levis ribcage jeans is the rise. Its about 11 12 depending on size. The average high-rise jean has a rise of 10, so keep that in mind. I know people that the highest they can go is 9 because of their short torsos.
Levis Ribcage Jeans Fabric Composition: 99% cotton, 1% elastane. I havent seen this style in 100% cotton, and I do think the 1% of elastane is needed with this higher rise. It gives you the feeling of real denim, while also allowing a little bit of stretch. Now, if youre used to very stretchy denim youll feel like these have no stretch, but as someone who frequently wears 100% cotton denim, I can feel the difference just 1% of elastane makes.
Levis Ribcage Jeans Sizing: Its best to get them on the tighter side, meaning your true size. Many make the mistake of sizing up and then they get big. Theyre still 99% cotton, and theyll give with wear as I explained here. Not as much as 100% cotton jeans though. Lengthwise, I always expect jeans to be long on me, so Im used to cropping and leaving a raw-hem as I did with mine.

I personally prefer a higher rise for my body proportions and my personal style. I have a long torso and short legs, so the high rise balances that out in a way I like. I also love it when my bum looks round and perky. These jeans do that for sure. I still love my 501s though.

While I have pretty long legs, I feel like I can still just get away with this inseam of 27 inches. They look especially amazing with high-shaft, lug-sole boots, which is how I plan to wear them all fall/winter. The leg is wider/looser than Levis Wedgies , but they both have the same phenomenal booty! Im genuinely interested in adding another wash to the mix. This non-distressed pair would be lovely for winter, or if you shop straight from the Levis website, you can also grab a longer inseam of 29 !

Fit Details: Im 52 with a very curvy bottom half. I typically wear a 29 in Levis, but Im wearing a 28 in these.

You can see in these photos that Ive been playing around with proportions. Traditional fashion rules tell me that since the jeans are on the looser side, I should stick with more-fitted tops and higher-heeled shoes for balanceespecially since Im 52 and curvy.
I personally, however, like the look and feel of the looser tops untucked with the loose jeans betterwith flat sandals or clogs for an ultra-relaxed and easygoing feel.
